Pants-crapping happy!

Wren's favorite time of day? When Daddy comes home from work!

smiley baby!

This week has been so much fun for us, and Wren, because she has started smiling and laughing in response to us and other things in her environment. Here is a couple of pics I snapped today of her laughing while I sang to her. So next time you see Wren, you better make her smile!

meeting lily

wren visits the farm

Wren took her first road trip up to great grandma and grandpa larson's farm. She slept the whole way there, and was adored by all her family members upon arrival. great uncle tim and great auntie kathy seem to be vying for the number one spot in wren's life. Wren watched as her grandpa, uncle tim and brian all celebrated birthdays. She played with her cousins, ali and brita. She watched her dad help build a patio. And she also played with her dog, honey. It was a busy weekend for a little babe.

Wren, this is Honey. Honey, this is Wren.

Meet the Rosentreters.

Wren finally got to meet her great aunt Kathie and great uncle Rod! She was very content being held by Rod; Grandpa Arnie thinks it has something to do with Rod being a dairy farmer and Wren being infatuated with milk...

riverview

night on the town

Wren hit up the Riverview wine bar last night, and thoroughly enjoyed herself. She was alert the entire evening, listening to conversation, but not saying much. She seemed to really like the live music being played by the patio band. She also took a couple walks down the sidewalk, one with her buddy Hans, and loved looking at the lights of the Riverview Theater.

good day, sunshine!

Wren spent this morning outside, enjoying the sunshine and birds singing. She also practiced some "tummy time", which seems to be getting better for her. She likes looking at the grass and trying to touch it.

goodbye to tress and chris

Tresse and Chris left for Michingan last night. We went over to say goodbye to them. Wren will be months older and so different the next time she gets to see her auntie tress. We miss them so much when they arent here. Tresse's friends Katie and Sondra were saying goodbye too, and meeting Wren for the first time.

Baptism

On Sunday,May 18th, Wren Elizabeth was baptized at Arlington Hills Presbyterian Church, by our favorite pastor, Rev. David Tucker. Wren had tons of support from family and friends who came out to witness her baptism and give their love. One of our best friends, Erin Kate, performed some amazing songs in honor of Wren(with some help from her dad, Roger). Uncle Tim also sang. And so did our friends in the African Choir, blessing Wren, and the rest of us, with their music. It was a beautiful day, with lots of yummy food, drink, and socializing after the service. We are so lucky Wren has so many amazing people in her life, excited to watch her grow...

Big girl bath.

Auntie Sal and Uncle Tommy

Wren was waiting and waiting for Aunt Sally to come back from Thailand! We're glad that she made it home safely (she was there when the cyclone hit but fortunately only endured strong winds where she was) and also glad that she brought us dinner, gifts, and her husband Tommy. Tom was very skilled with the baby, I think he may have a future as Wren's "manny" - and by that I mean male nanny, not the orca cat. (Pics are kind of blurry, I'm still learning how to use my cam!)
