is it spring yet?

this is us swinging at the park a block from our house. i am so anxious to be able to walk there and play together in sunny weather, that i have been attempting it on some of the nicer slushy days we have. downside is the entire playground is a puddle and my feet are usually soaked through my boots by the time we get home. wren has fun though, even though she is a boogery mess by the time we get home. and check out her cute pink shoes. big girl shoes. she got them as a gift from luna, who picked them out especially for wren.

we just got back from the doctor and wren has a little bit of everything. she has an ear infection, eye infection, and virus causing lots of congestion, coughing and fever. she is now on oral antibiotics and eye drops, plus needs lots of rest and steam and baths...oh yeah, AND she has two top teeth coming in. they look awful. like 2 giant chiclets. i will try to sneak a photo later if she'll let me...she's already mad i keep picking her boogers and forcing medicine into her mouth and eyes...

oscar party!

wren attended her first oscar party last night. she dressed in theme in a "milk" costume, which is perfect for her since she also loves milk. she was in good spirits all night, especially once she realized there was a 9 month old boy at the party. his name was tegan and they played all night. or at least until they both got cranky and fell asleep.

wren's new language.

wren has been talking so much! we still don't know what she is saying, but she is constantly telling us things, and singing, and talking to her kitties and toys. her newest sounds are goblin garbley and so sweet and funny. here are a couple of videos to listen to her new language...

here is a video mike really wanted to make while we were waiting for our clothes to wash at the laundromat. i said i would film as long as he promised wren wouldn't get hurt. of course a few seconds after the camera turns off she fell out of the basket and got a bloody nose. oh well. the video is still pretty cute...

here is a funny little video we took on Christmas day with wren. she was sitting at the dinner table with everyone and we gave her a pickle to keep her occupied. apparently she loves them, as she sucked every last bit of juice out of it and refused to have it taken away. i especially love how she shakes the pickle triumphantly at the end of the clip...

pretty much outgrown her little blue tub, but not quite big enough to sit in the big one without sliding all over. luckily her mama loves baths and takes them with her often. she loves splashing in the tub!
